    stop moanin and do as he says, if you've only been at it 4months you shouldnt be fightin yet anyway, and he prob tells you not to do "quick" combos because your shots arent landing on the target area

      he might be trying to develop your basic defensive skills without having you become too reliant on biking around the ring..like learning to slip and parry.

      or he might be conditioning you to fight that way in case you have to.

      learn to stand in front of your opponent and trade...then when you can hold yoru own, you can float around the ring picking shots....

        umm alright i am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my style since i have already won 2 matches (my coach put me in to fight after the first month, I was sparring on week 2), and I never said I cant do what he asks, I just find it to be suicide. But he thinks that we should be throwing a punch every second of the fight, which is ridiculous and will get your ass knocked out. All it takes is one lucky punch, am I right?
