Kessler: I Want Calzaghe, If He Dares"

It's obvious that WBC/WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (39-0, 29 KOs) would like nothing more than a crack at WBO champ Joe Calzaghe (42-0, 31 KOs). It's also obvious that HBO is providing the exposure to both fighters on their network in order to fuel a demand for the fight. [details]

This is the fight all true boxing fans wants to see, I hope Calzaghe finally will accept this fight.

Kessler is gonna get more respect from the Americans because he is willing to make the best fight possible at 168.

Can we have a better fight at 168, no sir!

Kessler and Calzaghe are the best SMW in the world. Whoever would win this fight would gain a lot of respect. This fight is a must and I hope somehow things can be worked out and HBO and fight fans get what they want.

            Aint ready

Kessler are physically very strong, technically brilliant, and mentally very strong as well. When you are 39-0, linear, WBC/WBA champ, with wins over a number of past, present and future champs you cannot say he aint ready

              lol@not ready.

who does he have to fight before being ready for joe?

if this fight does not happen this year i don't think it will ever happen. joe isn't getting any stronger at smw and kessler will be at his peak for the next 4 years or so.

THis is the fight we all want to see Joe take. I think it's a much more risky fight for him than Hopkins who is in his forties. I like Kessler in this one. But, it's anyones fight on the night.

I thought it was great when he said that. "that is of course, if he dares". I got a good chuckle from that.

Kessler should beat Calzaghe, He is a huge super middleweight that can probably make light heavyweight if he wanted, and he has good general ring skills.
