Calzaghe is a person in the era fighting from the great Super MW where he just kept unknow when the Roy Jones, James Toney, G-man, Nigel Benn, Eubank, Watson and Collins are there he just from that time but it past thorw him fast that he still has the skills to beat the best SMW right now
So you believe that Joe is faster? It's not true. Kessler is on par, if not better than Calzaghe in the speed department.

Hmmm...hands are close but Joe's feet are faster. Kessler's jab would need to be timed right all night to match it. That's one of many reasons it's such a good fight.

I'd have too go with respect on this one, Kessler was faster in his early day as a pro, he's no where near as fast as he use too be and Joe is faster than kessler and will floor him if they fight... Calzaghe is the man at super middle weight and will remain there for awhile

Oh yes, this reminds me. Kessler is faster on his feet, too.

I was not impressed by what I saw after downloading the fight. Previously, I thought Kessler was too much a risk for Joe. I'd seen a few brief moments of his fights, and after seeing the full fight against beyer, I thought this kid might just edge out Joe. But now that I've seen him properly, I cant seem him beating Joe. Joe has the faster handspeed and foot movement to match.

Kessler may be slighter stronger (but thats no surprise given his young age), but honestly, I believe Joe when he says Kessler is the SECOND best fighter in the division.

People are getting carried away with Kessler's performance simply because this Mexican made him look good. Andrade is a come forward fighter. He is no way in Calzaghe's league. So when you have a fighter who is a step below the elite and who keeps coming forward, of course you are going to look good and win with a unanimous (sp) decision.

Andrade is slow, goes only one direction and hasn't heard of defense. Calzaghe, on the other hand, is clearly faster than both Andrade and Kessler and he is prone to lateral movement both from the waist and from the feet. In his last two fights we have seen both the best and the worst of Calzaghe. As I see it Kessler had better prey that Calzaghe is having one of his off-days, because that is his only chance.

So the Brits think Joe has every advantage, and the non-Brits don't. Hmm. Never would have predicted this one!

In my humble opinion, I think that Joe is on the slide skill-wise, and trying to mask it. Manfredo is a set-up for him to look good and give bait to the big names.
