The thing is Calzaghe is looking for more lucrative fights. Well taylor is quickly losing fan support and respect for fighting only 154lbers in defense of his 160lb title. Manfredo has been served up to Calzaghe, he shouldn't be a problem. Bernard Hopkins and Calzaghe is somewhat of a boring fight and Winky truly is too small for Calzaghe. HBO or SHowtime would pay a couple million for rights to air the fight between Kessler and Calzaghe and both could make multi-millions off the purse, gate, and broadcasting rights in Europe. Financially the Kessler fight is starting to look like the best option and Calzaghe would do more for his legacy if he beat Kessler than all of his other fights combined. Lacy was supposed to beat Calzaghe and yes he put on a clinic, but one great win doesn't make him a legend. TNeither does two, but a win over Kessler would do a lot more for him than anyone else at this moment. Boxing fans and writers would be telling the tales of the skilled Calzaghe for years if he beats a prime Kessler, but if he beats an old Hopkins, the same people would be talking about how a prime Hopkins would've beaten him and so on and so forth.
