Now that I really think about it, you're right, Williamson/Rahman wouldn't make an interesting matchup. I just edited the post, deleting TOS.

People talk about British boxers "not wanting to travel", but often I get the feeling it comes down to them being in the "no one knows them, who gives a **** about them?" club. The only British boxer with a big enough name and industry credibility to get anything near a title shot would have been Audley, and we all know what happened there.Anorak, IMO the biggest problem with British hw's is that they don't seem to want to travel to the U.S. to fight any noteworthy opponents, save Mike Tyson. It seems like the circle of Britsh fighters (Harrison, Skelton, Williams, Sprott) are doomed to just fighting one another.
You know, every hw boxing fan would want to see Danny fight Brewster, Rahman, Briggs, etc. but it doesn't seem like it will happen.
I mean, if Rahman drew up a list of possible opponents, would Danny even make top twenty?Comment

I would think that Danny Williams should be able to get some high profile fights because of his name recognition he got from his exciting win over Tyson. But, I guess that it's a high risk low reward situation for U.S. fighters and also for fighters fighting out of Germany.People talk about British boxers "not wanting to travel", but often I get the feeling it comes down to them being in the "no one knows them, who gives a **** about them?" club. I always get the impression that Frank Warren is a big fish in a small pond when he puts on shows in the UK... but when he's up against King and so on, they're sharks to him. When Michael Sprott first fought Matt Skelton, he promised the winner it would lead to a world title shot. That was in 2004.It's now 2007 and they're having the rematch, and he's promising the same thing.I would think that Danny Williams should be able to get some high profile fights because of his name recognition he got from his exciting win over Tyson.
