Perhaps I am a little harsh on Taylor.

I just cannot stand how Calzaghe is going on with his career. Back in the day it really meant something to be a "world champion". Nowadays we have these pretender titlists who sit on the same belt and dont take any risks. I cannot stand when a fighter makes no effort to make a big fight.

We have too oustanding super middleweights, both undefeated, both crowd pleasing styles, both are in prime and young, so what is the deal? Why won't they make this fight? How rare is it too see two undefeated guys at the TOP of their divisions who have decent fan followings. Very rare.

yeh your right there. Ali - Frazier 1. Don't see why they can't just fight as their choice of career often leads them too. I thought two undefeated world champs would want to fight each toehr to sort out whothe real champ is and to test themselves but maybe my views are old fashioned.

Calzaghe wants Taylor or Hopkins. To him and to most boxing analysts and casual fans those ARE the big fights. Kessler is too unproven to be a 'big fight' at the moment (I'm not saying that he will be forever), so Calzaghe is not looking at him. Calzaghe quite understandably wants to avoid facing another European fighter the likes of which he has fought all his career and has not got any credit from fighting. As sad as it is, the way to get credibility in boxing is to beat the top American fighters.
