...Bingo!!!! One day the haters will come to that realization. When it's all said and done Wlad's stumbles will be forgoten. He is still destined for greatness and a spot on the all times list.

yea,,,they do nothing but harp on wlads whopping 3 losses in 51 fights. 2 of them coming from simply throwing too many punches and not pacing himself properly. this is something he clearly has licked since then

for those saying wlad couldnt compete in the 80's lol at your dumbasses

rid**** bowe and mike tyson dodged lennox lewis for years... they would have dodged the klitschkos too for the same exact reasons... maybe tyson would have fought wlad, but vitali would have beaten mike to a pulp

laughable, wlad wouldve beaten all the guys tyson beat... tucker, ruddock, berbick.. hell no way wlad woulda got taken the distance by ruddock and tucker and bonecrusher like iron mike did.. lol

lol at going the distance with mitch green and james tillis too..
Last edited by Hitman932; 03-20-2007, 04:59 PM. Reason: added bonecrusher as guys to take tyson distance

he needs a great american rival to ever be popular stateside, i think his popularity in europe is probably more then enough to keep him happy..

he has the best jab, left hook and straight right in the division, also has fasted hands and greatest understanding of the sport...

he will not lose again for a long time..

when he is done his resume is going to be HOF worthy whether anyone likes it or not... i dont care to argue about it, ill just enjoy it when the time comes for him to be inducted...

great fighter, great ambassador for the sport, eventually people will have to accept him or just admit they are blatant haters
That is a fantastic post, Hitman. Have some karma.

Tyson & Holyfield were excellent in their prime & I believe they would beat WK. As much as I dislike Holyfield, he was an excellent fighter in his prime that would be capable of beating MANY heavies in any era & only an idiot would think otherwise. Especially a fighter like WK who is good but not great. As far as those guys going the distance with Tyson. If you would've seen the fights, you'd see that ALL of those fighters were holding on for dear life when they fought him. That's only how most of them made it the distance.

I would have to agree Wlad is good for now but he could become great if he keeps winning in impressive fashion.

austin, brock and byrd were all looking to stretch wlad the distance but he didnt let them... his arsenal finds holes, whereas tysons was dependant on guys standing there and letting him whack away... wlads size also allows him to touch guys that are retreating.... tysons didnt, he was 1 dimensional

i dont disagree at all that holyfield could beat wlad... but he would have to take a lot of punishment to do so and get him in the later half of the fight

vitali wouldve beaten holyfield though cause he would just keep winning the rounds..

ive seen the majority of the tysons fight i mentioned.... the sole exception being the tucker fight.... and yes they were looking to survive but 12 rounds is a long ass time not to get to somebody... why cant anyone do that to wladamir.. especially with his quesitonable stamina?

my point is simple, wlad would have been a champion in the 80's and guys like rid**** bowe and mike tyson would have treated him with the same kid gloves that they did a potential matchup with lennox

pinklon thomas, bruce seldon, james smith, tony tucker, michael spinks, tim witherspoon, frank bruno, buster douglas, tyrell biggs, michael dokes... wlad wipes the floor with every single one..

only lewis, holyfield i would have favored over wlad.... tyson, bowe would have had decent shots... other than that itd be as easy for him then as it is for him now

Tyson was a different fighter in the 80's. He actually trained & threw combos back then because by the 90's he stopped doing ALOT of things that made him so dangerous. WK would have to go through a type of hell for that he's never experienced in his career in getting in the ring with the 80's version of Tyson. I agree with you on certain points but you left out one fighter in the 80's that I think would beat WK & that's Larry Holmes.

prime holmes vs. prime wlad would be a beautiful boxing exhibition..

id favor wlad but itd probably be even money at the sportsbook

wlad wouldve easily KO'ed the version of Holmes that tyson beat however
