Marquez does have the text book fundamentals down better than most boxers I've seen, plus his counter punching is relatively masterful. Barrera is a converted boxer/puncher, Marquez has been a boxer/puncher through out his pro career. So overall, I feel that Juan Manuel has the edge in this match up. Marco Antonio is smart, but Marquez is no fool in the ring. I've been waiting for this fight to happen for a very long time, never thought somebody would actually make it.

the only question about this fight is how will marquez handle the little 5 pound move up, skill wise this guy is a much better fighter then barrera (and morales), marquez is one of the best couter punchers in boxing if not thee best, he would have done the same thing too hamed but manny stewart said that he didnt want hamed to fight marquez, and jesus chavez would have beat barrera if he didnt get a arm injury so instead barrera fought rocky juarez, dont ever mention barrera is one of the top pound for pound fighters in boxing because thats absurd, this guy lost 2 times in a row to JUNIOR JONES

barrera should be fighting 8 lbs lower and hes still beating everybody
