    Williamson Answers Liakhovich!

The camp of heavyweight contender DaVarryl "Touch of Sleep" Williamson has issued a response to former WBO Heavyweight Champion Sergei Liakhovich and his manager, Ivaylo Gotzev, regarding their recent public statements. Liakhovich is quoted as wanting to return to the ring against James Toney rather than take the offer of his promoter to face Williamson in what he calls a “meaningless” fight.

“Why don’t Sergei and his team just admit that they don't want to fight me because I'm a much more dangerous fight than a shot James Toney? The ‘White Wolf’ is behaving more like a domesticated dog. They want to say that I was 50% responsible for the most boring fight in heavyweight history? What was his last fight with Briggs? The only excitement came in the last 15 seconds of the fight and that was watching Sergei pick himself up off the scorer's table.

"Don't play games Ivaylo, just man up and admit the truth. Just say that DaVarryl Williamson is TOO dangerous for us, we don't want Sergei getting knocked out again! It's too dangerous a fight to come back to! We can all respect that. James Toney brings a couple dollars to the table, I'll admit that, but don't run around saying that I'm a meaningless fight. You don't want the fight, that's fine, I'll happily move on to someone else that has the backbone to get in with a live dog and fight for a meaningful position in the heavyweight division

that might be an interesting match up, one thing is for sure williamson would be forced to fight against serguei unlike his bull**** waste of time fight with byrd where actually watching paint dry was more exciting. i think i started counting the how many yawns i saw in the crowd, i couldn't count that high.

you know liakhovich started talking **** to get williamson worked up to fight him probably thinking that he is an easy opponent, whether that is true or not, fighting williamson would be a good fight to come back with, more than likely that match up would end in a ko, either way. both guys can be stopped and both guys could stop one another................

for a come back fight it's not a bad match up as long as someone presses the action, i don't expect williamson to though.

I think to many people got too excited about Liakhovich to quick cause of hes victory over Brewster. I remember wiating for the Briggs Lyko fight tihnking before the fight that it was going to be something spactacular but it turned out to be a horendous fight with Lyko getting tagged a few times in the first round so he didint fight the rest of the fight just stayed away. Either Williamson or Toney are both good fight for Lyko and they are both tv worthy...

Goltzev and Lyakhovich are both jerk-offs. I respected Sergei after his victory over Brewster but more and more I am realizing that something must have been wrong with Brewster that night rather than Sergei fighting a good fight. You judge a person by the company he keeps and Lyakhovich is nothing but a ****head just like that puny piece of **** Goltzev who deserves to get mugged in the street and beaten almost to death. Williamson is a piece of **** boxer and he also sucks the big one. A very BIG **** YOU to all three of them.

I don't know how anyone can take TOS seriously these days.. Since 2005, he's only fought 3 times and it seems like he's waiting around for some 'big fight' to happen. Perhaps, he's in the same que as Barrett, Beck, and Mccline were in.

Toney is shot? As I recall Toney has never stood in front of a guy like the Buffalo Bum, Joe Mesi, and did nothing other than get knocked out in the first round.

Why is there so much hate against Joe Mesi on these forums? The guy's far from a bum IMO. Before the 'incident' he had beaten some decent opposition(Jirov, TOS, and Barrett) and was ranked #1 by the WBC. And now he's getting his career back on track by fighting somewhat frequently and fighting on tv.

Why the hate on Mesi? It might have something to do with the fact that he has the temerity to get up on HBO and claim he can box like Muhammad Ali and punch like George Foreman. Then he just barely sc****s his way past fringe contenders like Jirov, TOS and Barrett. This comical list of tomato cans he has been facing lately ought to be featured on Saturday Night Live.
