Well, age is on his side, he could spend a few years fighting cannon fodder before he steps it up. Still, I'd be suprised if he ever reached world title level. Maybe a continental-americas title or something, lol.
Jorge Paez Jr. Exposed!!

It just all falls into perspective now that it actually happened. It's good to reflect on the fall of a hot prospect- even if Paez wasn't a very intently watched prospect, it's still telling. In retrospect we now know another young boxer was handled carefully and touted to be something he was not.Comment

I really liked the kid and was impressive early on in his career. But this fight, he looked a bit soft in the middle and the guy he was fighting had some good movement; he didnt look like a fighter with a losing record. The way Paez kept dropping his right hand everytime he threw his left, it was inevitable that he was gonna get caught. I dunno if he just didnt train for this fight and overlooked his opponent or if it was something else, but hopefully he bounces back. He showed heart in getting up from that knockdown, cuz he got caught flush on the chin and showed class in defeat.Comment

Well he's still a young kid and if you think about it theirs allot of champions that lost early in their carrer, hopefully this will will wake him up and step up his game.Comment

While I agree I can't think of any good champions that had the difficulty he has had against limited opposition. Paez didn't just lose- he got KOed.Comment

Here are some examples from the top of my head Klitchsko and Paquiao, Castillo and Margarito had some Losses early in their carrers.Comment
