    Jorge Paez Jr. Exposed!!

You may have seen the young fighter(12-1 now) on some of the recent pay-per-view fights over the last year or so. Anyone thought he would go far? Well, in his fight tonight in Florida he was exposed- knocked out in the 4th round of a fight he was certain to win. The kid who knocked him out is a very sub-par club fighter- Ramon Guevara- who was 7-11 going into the fight. Guevara had been knocked out in the 1st round by several nobodies, knocked out in the 2nd, 3rd- he's eaten canvas many times...yet he just seperated Paez from his conciosness.

Anyone surprised??? Did anyone have hopes for this kid?

The last fight he had showed me he had a questionable chin and less talent than I first expected when he had a very tough time with Derrick Campos on some card some time back. I thought he might make an exciting fighter but I guess he doesn't even have the Gatti level talent, too bad.

Ramon had good head movement....it threw off Paez. Vicente Escobedo actually knock out this Ramon dude....just goes to show that Paez needs a lot of work to do.

It's really no surprise. Everyone loses. These Jr's are all trying to live up to their dads reputations. Paez Sr. was fun to watch and all, but he wasn't all that good. Camacho? Plz.
JCC Jr. , now his daddy was a great fighter. His people are taking their time with him, which is smart, maybe not very pleasing to boxing fans but smart. Judging by the gene pool, JCC Jr. should have the most successful career.

Logical. Still, I think some people thought Paez, Jr. was going to go somewhere. Be an exciting for in the division and all. This loss, like this, should spell an end to that hope. He may fight on...but if a guy like the one he fought tonight can knock him out..well...doesn't look good for him.

Yeah, he was actually exposed by Derrick Campos. Campos was robbed in that fight if I remember correctly, which seems to have been the story in a number of Jorge Paez Jr.'s fights. I've seen him fight about 4-5 times, and each time I've been unimpressed with him, and more impressed with the showing from the opponent who I was expecting to be a fallguy.

I guess this is the end of the road for Paez, Jr.
