Old Delahoya is still gonna put up a good showing.
according to you, mexicans fighters will never lose huh? mayweather could lose but nobody especially not de la hoya would knock him out

alot of people say gatti was better when he fought mayweather then when he fought de la hoya (better boxer, more patient) i would agree

me and you have been boxingscene members for a while, i remeber alot of your post, you never will say a mexican would will lose to anybody, even if you really dont believe it yourself, if somebody started a topic saying prime julio chavez vs super middleweight joe calzaghe or prime julio chavez vs julian jackson at a catch weight you will make up some BS anaysis how "julio could work their bodies and get a tko in later rounds", or "prime julio couldnt be hurt", theirs nothing wrong with supporting mexican fighters but alot of the mexican board members go overboard

i've seen all 4 four fights and de la hoya did have them when they were young but floyd fought them when they were more experienced, and floyd also moved up to fight them too. gatti rocked oscar a few times in the fight, and floyd made gatti look like an amateur. the thing that gets me with you people and this way past his prime **** is that if an fighter who is so called "past his prime" beats a fighter in his prime and youth, then that past prime fighter is a freaking god to you people, but if they lose, then they shouldn't have been in the ring in the 1st place, which is what you people will post and say once floyd demolishes oscar may 5th, and trust me when i post this people, floyd mayweather will demolish oscar de la hoya. any fighter can be defeated whether young or old, it doesn't matter. many people feel pernell whitaker beat oscar de la hoya, and pernell was past his prime. oscar beat mayorga after a 16 month layoff, and oscar was past his prime, and oscar is a god to you people. i know boxing, i've been an active fighter myself, and i know what "boxing" truly means, that is why i can make posts like i do, and i tend to make a lot of fair arguments while choosing my side and make my posts make sense, unlike many of you on hear.

i don't base my choices off of past fights like many of you do, because not saying in doing that, it is neccessarily wrong, and fighters may have the same style in all of their fights, but a different mindset is what they also have. which is why saying that a fighter past is past his prime is a bunch of bull****. yes, they may be physically and mentally aged in their fights, but their passion and desire to continue fighting younger guys and guys in their prime is as strong as ever. because, they are either the underdogs in the fight, and the will for them to win is strong, or they are still the favorites in the fight, and if the younger guy does demolish them or just wins by a close margin, then that younger guy becomes a star in boxing because he or she beat a great fighter whether so called "past their prime" or not.

imo floyd won his fights against gatti and hernandez in much more impressive fashion, but that's because i love his style of fighting, and his style is similar to my style(so yes, i may show a little biasness, but i always give good reasoning to it), and because he fought smarter than oscar did imo, which is why floyd will defeat oscar come may 5th. he is a much smarter fighter, and that's what i have been posting for a while now, smartness in the ring, ring generalship, ring savvyness, defense, timing, foot coordination, great upper body movement, and training the right muscles to be prepared. floyd is a much better fighter than oscar is, because of all those traits he does have. he is smart son of a ***** in that ring, and he is in a zone in the ring, and once he's in that zone, oscar has little to no chance to defeat imo. floyd is boxing's "boxer" and p4p the best fighter in professional boxing today, not for no reason! the man is a smart fighter, and come may 5th, oscar will find that out, i guarantee it.
