Mayweather, De la Hoya common opponents: gernaro hernadez, arturo gatti

mayweather punished gatti for 6 rounds
de la hoya didnt punish gatti the same way, its just he hits harder then mayweather and got him out in 5

de la hoya alot of people forget was a monster @ 135 and knocked gernardo hernandez out in 6
mayweather punished hernandez for 8 rounds, and hernandez corner threw in the towel

My thoughts are that May fought a older version of both and that DLH and PBF are not the same type of fighter .

Not that it matters really, but here's the comparison.

Mayweather was more dominant against Gatti and Genaro than Floyd was. He fought them at the weight classes where they were more successful.

Oscar fought them when they were younger with freshier bodies.

genaro hernandez was interviewed, and said Mayweather wins easy. he said the size isnt gonna make a difference in the fight, and DLH cant hurt what he cant hit

Prime Delahoya KO's Mayweather in 8.
          At 130,135,140,147.
Old Delahoya is still gonna put up a good showing.

DLH fought both at better points of their career...

DLH was naturally bigger than Gatti in my opinion when they fought

Floyd was the smaller man vs Gatti...

but DLH got Gatti before the Ward wars and Hernandez when Hernandez was undefeated

not a fault of Floyd...they were just at different points of their career

                thats not true at all.

Id pick Mayweather to decision DLH at any point in DLH's career.

DLH is one of the most overrated fighters of his generation!

It would have been a closer fight 5 years ago, but Mayweather would have still won

DLH brawled with Gatti and just ignored his punches. Floyd landed at will against Gatti and Gatti couldn't land anything in return.

the only way mayweather would win is if dela couldnt catch mayweather on his bike. I believe he could of matched his hand speed and had enough foot speed to catch floyd.
Dont talk about overrated fighters when 1 of them hasnt even started proving anything. dela has proved a lot already.
