i think he could be a GOAT, but he wont be.

Williams could be a possible future hall of famer. A few great fights with Willams could boost Cottos stock.

Wins over Judah, Hatton, Baldomir... these are all very good wins that could get him HOF status.

But if hes still undefeated in 3 years or so, there has to be another big name on the uprise that can beat him. And if he loses to him hes gotta win the rematch.

Someone will come up, it just depends on where cottos career is, at that moment in time

Yes, he seriously or has so far exhibited the potentials to be considered a great, we can't tell for sure now until he ups his competition

My Opinion Its the following if he beats Judah either by KO or TKO or beats him worse than what May did than he goes and fights the winner of Marg and Williams than after that fight he would have to fight either Hatton or Mosley that there alone would make him one of the Greatest ever. It will be a tough task but I think if Cotto comes well prepare physically and mentaly he can beat any one at the 147 division.

As said Cotto is another of a long line that has potential to achieve. I couldnt name off hand how many there are at the moment. There are many who have potential and dont fulfil their potential. Maybe Cotto will fulfill his potential but his potential just wasnt good enough.

Time will tell. And i look forward to knowing how good he is. There are lots of boxers i want to know how good they will be. There are more highly rated boxers than Cotto that i also want to know how good they will eventually be.

I think it's far too soon to consider him an all time great. He's already considered an elite fighter, though he hasn't really beaten anyone of real note. Judah is a step in the right direction though.

I totally disagree. Just look at what some of the recent greats like DLH, Tito, and Mayweather had accomplished by the time they were 26. Cotto is WAY behind...

If he fought and beat Mayweather or Mosley he would have a shot.

                That will NOT happen, however.

Cotto's a good fighter in probably the worst era that the sport's ever seen, so **** no. He shouldn't be in anyone's top 200 ATGs.
