YOU guys think Cotto will be consider one of the greatest.

If he fights and beats Judah, than fights Margarito or Williams after that A fight with mosley and last Floy or De lahoya or even Hatton. You think he will be consider as one of the greatest.

As it stands now, Cotto is barely a favorite over Judah and would probably be even money with Margarito and Williams. I doubt he'll ever fight DLH, Mayweather, or even Mosley...

Cotto is a good fighter and will probably be very well remembered in Puerto Rico, but he will not go down as one of the greatest to ever lace them up...

Cotto is only 26. This means that he has many years ahead of him during which he can carve a real name out for himself. Yes, he was rocked at 140 but he always came back and invariably stopped his opponents. So far he has looked great at 147, and to say that he won't go down as an ATG is, at this stage, too premature.

But of course it would also be premature to state for certain that he would. The Judah fight should tell us a lot. I think he has the skills to dominate Judah, but we will have to see come fight night. But he is in one of the best divisions in boxing and the big fights are certainly out there for him. If he wins them (and he certainly has the talent to), then why wouldnt he go down as an ATG?

If Cotto beats some decent opponenets then he might end up being atg. But the fact it is all ifs and buts. Beat someone of note first then we can discuss. Beating DLH and Mosely who are old wont make him great IMO. Therer must be other fighters out there other than those 2 names.
Beat PBF, Hatton and so on.

IF he beats Floyd Oscar Ricky and Judah then he WILL be considered 1 of the greats that should be beond dispute! The Oscar fight wont happen tho - Thankfully as a Cotto fan!

Too early to tell. However, I think he's already gone down as one of Puerto Rico's best fighters. At least top 10. And that's a great list to be on as it is.

Way too early today but so far so good.......I don't think it is out of the realm to think he could be but I think he will have his hands full with Judah.....so lets just see how that goes down first.

Great champions and legends always fight top opponents more often than unknown, weak opposition. Cotto would have to step his game up on every fight and take on some strong oppossition then........maybe.
