I am really big on Ibragimov. I think the Austin fight was a temporary lapse. The guy is the real deal. He showed lots of heart in the Austin fight. Now with a full time trainer that Panama Lewis is gone. DLH may be right, but I doubt he really believes it.

LOL, I see your point. DLH says this as promoter, but doesn't really think it's for real, he's just selling the guy (and who can blame him, whenever you have a young, undefeated heavyweight who is coming off a 1st round TKO, you have to hype the guy in this day and age).

Let's see if he can blast out Briggs. If he can, let's hope he gets to fight someone like Brewster (why wouldn't he deserve another shot, given the chances guys like McCline, Guinn and Barrett have received). I would scream for immediate unification but the WBC picture with Maskaev-Vitali-Peter is muddled for at least the next 9 months and supposedly Wlad and Valuev are going to try and make a fight--probably for August or later. That leaves the Briggs-Ibrigamov winner with no unification possibilities until 2008. So I want to see the winner vs. Brewster (hopefully Lamon can get a comeback win beforehand, of course)...who agrees/disagrees?

Yeah Brewster deserves another shot. It is not like he was blown out by Sergei, but that may be the problem. He is a dangerous opponent for anyone. I am tired of watching McCline, Guinn and Barrett.

Yeah, hate to break it to you people....he's little.

And he doesn't have the Tua, Tyson, or Holy type little man qualities that would enable him to compete at heavyweight.

He showed he couldn't compete with a big man, and that big man isn't a good fighter...just a big man.

Big man who sucks...and still managed to take Ibragimov 12 rounds while some people think Austin beat him. Briggs has similar size to Austin, but he is'nt no Ray Austin, hes got power and once Braggy feels it he will get knocked out.

Yeah people just don't seem to believe that.

I already bet my "e-points" but I'd bet every single point I had on Briggs.

Truly, you never know with Briggs right? When someone takes steroids they can have high/low times so it is very possible he could come out and whip his ass or come out and be all wore out and tired.

I wouldn't bet on that fight.

at least austin can fight for 12 round and block a punch occasionally. sultan will come in lighter in the 220 range and stop a gassed briggs in around 7 rounds
