    Cuba has some awesome fighters, only problem is they can't go pro.
    If they could we would have some Cuban all time greats.. I member seeing this cuban cat box, forget his name but dude could have been bigger then Ali!

      i think i know who your talking about... do u remember if he fought in the pan american in 2003 in the Dominican Republic?

        You cannot say any of these guys would be great pros just because they dominated amateurs. The difference in amateurs and pros is HUGE. Savon stopped a lot of top American kids..but he did so when he had HUGE experience and they were younger guys. He has been a top amateur since the mid 1980's.....fighting young American kids in the early 2000's

              That is true, I remember how unfair it was seeing a 17 year old kid fighting 25 year old am fighter in his prime.
              Still Cuba had soem great ams fighters

                If someone does great in the Ams.. chances are hes gonna do good in the pros as well. Mosley, Oscar, Floyd all had great Am records.

                    Funny thing was that both fighters showed great chin in pro boxing. So you can make a case just how much age means in boxing.
