Yep hes up there as the best lightweight of the last years with Castillo, IMO, Corrales i put a little lower...
IMO, it was a draw against Caca(i mean Popo), and close lose to Castillo, and Corrales, but he reversed the Corrales loss so iput him as the best lightweight in recent years along with Castillo well castillo up

Your correct but in that same regard he has not convincingly beat many of his opponents.
Casamayor lacks smarts in the ring, he gives away a ton of rounds and has no one to blame but himself for many of his razor thin defeats.
After all the trash talk and buildup for his unification fight against Freitas what does he do? He goes out and refuses to fight for the first 5 rounds and then cries murder when the decision is read, sorry Joel.
You can look at almost every one of his losses and point out periods during the fight where he just disappeared.
Your right though you can make a case no one has every really put a beating on him but I will submit to you that although the fight with Castillo was very close the last four rounds were an anhilation.
Casamayor did everything he could do to make it to that final bell, when it rang he was clearly a beat fighter, it was clsoe yet but he got the **** beat out of him the last four rounds and deserved to lose that fight.
Casamayor is underrated, imo. I think he should be mentioned with the best out there. I agree with Mass Pride...his losses were disputable. The guy came to the States late in age after a great amateur career and did what most cant..translate that into a great pro career. A fight with JLC would be awesome. Pretty cool guy in person too.
