Chagaev did very well against Ruiz, much better than I expected. Valuev will be too much for him though.

Chagaev can't beat Valuev and I hope he doesn't cause I want to see Wlad vs Valuev.

          and your point is what?

ruiz lost to both valuev and chagaev, both valuev and chagev are superior to ruiz

as tall as valuev is, he isnt hard to reach. if john the bum ruiz and monte barrett can reach valuev's chin, chagaev (who has more skill and more power than both of them combined) surely can.

You seriously think that Chagaev is better than Ruiz and Barrett? He defeated Ruiz very convincingly but Ruiz was fighting a very strange fight that night. He is better than Barrett though, I agree with that.

You are very generous with your assessment of Chagaev's abilities!

As I see it Chagaev is good enough to slip the jab, hit Valuev and then bob, weave, roll or step out of the way. There is no need for him to take a solid hit. Barrett made things easy for Valuev by standing tall and going straight in at him. If Chagaev is able to learn from Barrett's mistakes he can beat Valuev.

Chagaev is the world greatest heavyweight, but then neither is Valuev. In boxing there is always a chance. I didn't think Feliciano had a hope in hell against Rodriguez, but Feliciano had heart and it was heart that won that fight. We will see what is in the heart of a man like Chagaev and how badly he wants to win.
