    How does Chagaev beat Valuev?

    John Ruiz demonstrates how:

Just get underneath that slow jab and hit him.

      With a bat.

Or...Take a page out of the Larry Donald Textbook.

      Its called BOXING.

      Crazy I know.

But Valuev cant do it....so maybe Russian Ruslan can. Cause Rulsan's left hook looks sharp...but...I dont think its enough.

IMO he's always going to be relatively slow...

Did you happen to notice that Johnny slipped one way and Monte the other? The other way is decidedly more dangerous especially when you are throwing wild haymakers instead of a proper rightcross.

He doesn't. Too small, no punch. "IT" may be a freak, but he can box a bit.

"...a bit." might not be enough. There are various ways to hit that giant with a lefthook.

And Chagaev is a better boxer than Barrett.

That's somewhat true. But what I'm trying to say, is that Valuev is definitely learning with every fight and will not be making the same mistakes in his next one. I doubt Chagaev will even come close to winning.

Even if Valuev removes every technical flaw from his style, he will still have a long list of limitations, not the least of which is speed or rather lack of it. Just because Barrett and Beck just stood there and got hit does not mean that Chagaev has to do the same thing. Valuev is vulnerable and it doesn't take a lot of talent to exploit his weaknesses. Chagaev has enough ability, the question is does he have enough ambition?
