    Credentials wise, yes.

Beat many great fighters, Olympic medallist, 2 weight champ, champ in 3 different decades and 4th on the all time most world title defences list (any weight, #1 at LHW) and his belt was in a Rocky Movie, he’s done it all.

But he will be remembered for his losses to Hearns and Jones rather than all the great accomplishments he’s achieved.

He may not have been great but he was very good.I doubt he's an all time Top 10 LHW probably Top 30.He should be a lock for the hall of fame.

No not an ATG, definitely not. He'll probably get into the HoF and deservedly so, but to say he's an ATG is completely unjustified. A good fighter who's had a good career and will hopefully retire with his faculties and bank balance in good shape.

Without the point deductions, Hill arguably could have won the Dariusz fight. Hill could possibly be called an all-timer. Losing to Roy and Hearns is no big shame. Hill went to Germany because he needed to. Roy did not. If Roy was 'afraid' to go to Germany (more like smart) then Dariusz was afraid to come to the States.

                Simple.

LOL It's not nearly that simple, but you obviously have a heavy Roy slant so there's no way I'm going to even try to enlighten you on all that situation with Dariusz. Hehe. And I'm a Roy fan, too, but I was a fan through that whole debacle and remember it vividly.

And no, Hill's fight with Dariusz really wasn't close. Hill got hurt early and was never really in the fight, never seemed to really fight like himself after he got rocked. Dariusz just seemed to power through him most of the fight. I've never heard anyone suggest that fight was anything but one-sided. LOL Watch it again if you need to. That seemed to be the fight were Virgil sort of got old overnight, to me.

Virgil is not an all-time great, as I said, but he's an all-time good. And he's usually underrated by most newbs or casual fans, just because they only remember him losing to Roy with the body shot.

And? What makes your liking of Roy any different than mine?

I also know the issue. And if you think the fight was not close, fine. I think you are wrong. I watched every round. To each his own. Dariusz never had so much trouble with anyone in my eyes until he got old.

Hill is probably a top 15-20 LHW. When you match him up with a lot of those other greats it's hard to see him coming out on top.

A Hill/MSM fight would have been a burner, but that's because all Saad fights were like that.
