Your asking one of the most biased, if not the most biased contingent on here to be rationale and open -minded..it's sadly not going to happen. I was at the Tito-Hopkins fight at the Garden. All the Borikuas made excuses after Tito lost, not one of them admitted Tito was beaten by a better fighter. That level of closed-mindedness and unwillingness to look at things objectively can only be rooted in a great level of national insecurity.

Its not national insecurity, is called national pride, and you asked them right after the fight? I'm suprised you lived...lol. Fact is it took me a long time to get over that loss, but in the end, it does nothing to tarnsih Trinidad, and to show how important Trinidad was, it took him to make B-Hop famous.

Well, Sweet P clearly wasn't the same guy who outboxed the **** out of JCC that's for sure, but that's really not Tito's fault now is it? Its not like Tito waited a few years for the guy to throw his career down the drain with drugs to fight him. Lets not forget two fights before that he went up against Oscar in what many said was a robbery. You wanna know more? few fights before that we went up against another Puerto Rican, Wilfredo Rivera, who schooled Sweet P twice and both times got robbed, first fight Rivera just toyed with him and beat him to the punch all night, second was closer.
My point is, its not the man's fault Sweet P wasn't in his prime when they fought, still Sweet P would've knocked a lot of guys out that night, he ran into the harder puncher that night with a dumb plan, no plan B and didn't work out.

You are badly mistaken sir. It was Sweet Pea who was robbed against Rivera in their first bout, and the second bout wasnt even close.

He should have gotten a UD the first time. The judges undermined his performance by scoring a SD in the first bout. Both bouts were clearly UD wins for Pea. Because of the unjust SD in first fight, the WBC ordered Sweet Pea to rematch Rivera..something he shouldnt have had to do. He was forced intothat mandatory, where otherwise he could have gone on and made more money fighting who he wanted instead of having to forcefully rematch that Borikua Bum who he beat by even a wider margin the second time.

Borikua Bum..., Cheato Triniwraps..., Should've gotten a decision first time.... Dude you need to quit hating on Puerto Ricans and learn about boxing and scoring on fights. Your internet racism and toughness doesn't prove your points, let's talk facts.

I hate cheaters I dont care what ethnicity they are. The fact is that after Hopkins' camp exposed Titos hand wrapping methods(dipping in water+5 layers of guaze), his power was never the same. This is a fact sir. You know it, I know it. Sweet Pea should have gotten a UD the first time against Rivera, any boxing purest will reiterate that point. I have nothing against Puerto Rican fighters, in fact, I am a big fan of Miguel Cotto. My only concern is that as he faces better competition, that his fans will unjustly thrust him and his accomplishments above fighters of other ethnicities based on his heritage alone..not purely on accomplishment.

Hopkins camp admitted their comments were made to throw Trinidad off, same happened when they picked gloves, when BHop came down to PR, .... It was all part of a plan, to do just that, throw Trinidad off. Tito took his gloves off and kept his wraps on after every fight in the post fight interviews, comissioners were there along with judges, ref, other corner men, media, etc... You think no one wouldve noticed? Not the ref when he raised his hand each and every time he won? Not to mention, wraps are checked before putting on the gloves and gloves are felt before the fight on every occasion. After all the crap and nonsense, Tito KOd Cherifi and Mayorga who had a very solid chin very impressively, you think his wraps and gloves weren't checked for those fights as well? Wetting your wraps before fights is very easy to detect and doesn't give you that kind of power Tito had, he was just in incredible shape and threw with mean intentions every time.

As far as the Sweet P-Rivera fights, commentators, media, even the comission thought it was a bs decision first time out, that's how come the 2nd fight happened. Not sure if you saw them, but both were convincing wins for Rivera.
