Good point. Bonecrusher did mange to avoid the fate of most fighters but Tyson should have been able to avoid him holding. The greats would come in to win but they'd be cool, calulated and not intimidated like most of his opponents. Tyson's earlier record reminds me of Listons he was feared by most of the boxer's out there but ali took him apart and came to win. If Buster douglas could do it so could the greats. Tyson had a discipline problem in his latter half of his prime an Douglas exploited that. So would the greats. I believe that Dempsey, Louis, Ali and maybe Lewis could beat him.

Holmes was nearly 40 when he fought Mike.

The Tyson that lost to Douglas was not prime Tyson. He abandoned the defensive skills and the overall movement that made him so incredibly lethal and he never returned to that. IMO we never even saw the best of Tyson. But prime Ali versus prime Tyson, still remains a question for me. Style wise it would be a tough matchup for both.

Errr not really sure but he aint #1 - still probably makes top 10 tho.
I just think look at the trouble Ali had with Frazier who i luv but was esentially a 1 handed fighter u know? Tyson was far quicker, two fisted, more power in his shots and had better D to boot

Tyson's head movement used to be sick but I think Frazier was tougher - he could walk through walls to land his own punches.

Tyson would have given any fighter trouble but I think Ali, Foreman, Louis, Lewis, Dempsey, Bowe and obviously Holyfield would have beat him prime for prime.
