I'm not sure how much Barrera has left, but it should still be a great fight. I prefer watching the higher weight classes, but some of these smaller guys put the bigger guys to shame at times.
Is it just me or will MAB Vs JMM....

I think this fight is gonna be awesome because.... U ready for this?..... JMM is going to push the action and try to stop Barrera from running, I think JMM is going to be more effective than Rocky Juarez, though Barrera not wanting to engage will certainly be tough for JMM.
If the fight goes the distance Barrera won a Dec. If it ends early JMM stopped Barrera.
My prediction is Barrera will win a tough Decision and will fight going backwards the whole fight ala Barrera - Juarez 2.Comment

I thought the same after the first Rocky Juarez fight, after seeing the rematch though, he looked like his old self... I think he still got plenty left for JMM.Comment

I don't see this fight disappointing anyone. Two of Mexico's finest boxers in any era, I can't see a letdown. I think this will be an instant classic with either a rematch happening or the victor moving on towards a mega clash with the Pacman. The latter being dependent on the legal issues surrounding Manny and the ability of GBP and TR to set aside their differences long enough to make some serious money.
I have always been a huge fan of MAB, but sadly IMO, he no longer posses the skills necessary to outbox or even outslug JMM. He doesn't have enough firepower for a stoppage and he will get countered all night. I see MAB figting cautiously in the early rounds for a boring first few rounds, but a sense of urgency kicks as he loses these early rounds. As he goes for a KD, MAB will get hit by massive counter shots and will hit the canvas, eventually getting stopped in the later rounds. I see a good ol fashion Mexican ring war
For what it's worth, I hope MAB proves me wrong and wins the fight.Comment

You can say that he needs it badly for a rematch with Manny. But does Barrera want that? I think this could be a perfect opportunity to, I won't say pass the torch though go out calmy into the sunset. Barrera's career is coming to an end either way this year he's stated. If he beats Marquez, why go take a fight that he never really wanted and knows he might get beaten just as bad when it's his last year of fighting? I think if he wins this fight, he'll prolly call it a career saying he's faced everyone of the best fighters he could possibly face and that's it. Some fighters just have your number. Junior Jones and Manny got Barrera's. No need to retread over hazardous terrain.Thats the thing...I think Barerra knows he is nearing the end of his career and needs this win badly if he wants any shot at rematching Manny Pac. I dont think he will take those risks but your probably right , His mexican pride will take over as soon as he gets buzzed and hopefully make it a fight not a technical boxing match.
