Morrison to fight on Pacquaio undercard?

Dan Rafael of ESPN is reporting that comebacking Tommy Morrison is tentatively scheduled to fight on the untelevised portion of the April 14 Pacquaio-Solis fight and if all goes well, be back in action sometime in June in New York.

Whether you agree with the athletic commissions' decision to allow Morrison to fight or not, IMO this story is one of the more interesting and intreguing boxing stories of 2007. And how it will turn it out is anyone's guess.

    Your thoughts/opinions...

If he is right and he does not have HIV anymore or never had it then let him fight. Also if his opponents dont mind then he should be allowed to try to make a living. He looked out of shape that first fight and they said that guy was beating him before he knocked him out. It will be an even bigger story if he started to beat top quality opponents, but he might be to old and out of the game for too long for that to happen.

Yeah your right it sucks that boxing doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Not if it keeps destroying itself from the inside. If we get rid of the ABC belts and have one champion and ensure all the best fighters fight each other then maybe at will. Try explaining world titles to someone that doesnt know boxing. It's like trying to explain quantum physics.

I totally agree with these posts. You would think that this would be a major sports story and would really put boxing back in the news, good or bad, but nothing. Boxing really needs something big and a good first step is unification.
