If its Early enough for MIRANDA to change... why's it too late for COTTO???

    Read it in an article

they are the same age and equally as far along...

Allan Green is just as good, if not better, then most of Cottos late competition. Probably a bit better...

I'm not hating on either guy, but why did he say its to late for Cotto to make any changes to his style, and become a more multidimensional fighter.

But Miranda has a lot of time to make these changes.

And as a Bonus Question... Why does it matter to people if there is a ONE dimensional fighter out there???

Guys like Miranda may only have one dimension... but its a hell of a one dimension...

Anybody would stuggle with a guy that has Edison Mirandas power...

And plus, when that one dimension is an offensive dimension, and they lack good defense... thats an exciting fighter and its good for boxing.

it may be for purists, but its fun for everyone and its very good for boxing

Miranda is really not as bad technically as everyone seems to make him out to be......His head movement is getting better,He blocked many punches Green threw and was using his Jab pretty nicely at times in that fight. He is very aggressive so it seems people think he is not a boxer but afterall he is a boxer......just a sometimes wild and aggressive one.

I was asking who said this . . . but I didn't get any reply.

Anyway this is basically a wrong statement. Fighters can't be change, they always rely on their instincts as reflexive actions. When you say change . . . that means a complete overhaul including basics. Fighter can be improved. They can be trained to do new things on both offense and defense to widen up their arsennal or capabilities.

And this having explained, who ever said that is completely wrong. Cotto just like any fighter will always have time to make adjustments and improve.

agree. Too many people want to pick out what they can't do but when what they can do is dynamic and impressive. Negativity seems to be a common topic when ideas run dry and objectivity goes out the window to be replaced with mass appeal for the sake of filling a writers column.
