Seriously, it's a figure of speach. Some guys are willing (if able) to go further than others, but never to their death, to win.

Did I ever say I'd fight to the death? Noooooooooooooo. Well then. Dont say you'll fight to the death when you wont. I'm not knocking him for pulling out cos if you're hurtin' real bad and you cant breathe then thats the smart thing to do. Just dont say you will fight to the death then quit.
