it wasnt the pain from the nose, it was the fact that he couldnt breathe.

im sure if it was just a lot of pain, he would have showed the courage to fight on

If he couldn't breathe then isn't that part of willing to die in the ring?

Really if he believes that he couldn't continue then he shouldn't continue. He stuck it out for 7 rounds so who can really blame him.

Yeah 7 rounds too long. I mean obviously the knockdown gave him a spirited hope. Though Vasquez was fighting on pure heart for as long as he lasted after the 3rd round knockdown. I think he wanted out a lot sooner than he did. Roach said in like round 5 and I think that was the round you can hear when they went to the corner Roach said something to Vasquez like, can you continue? Vasquez said no and they cut camera. Yet he continued 2 more rounds. That's balls right there.

No he does have a point if a fighter says theyre willing to fight to their death then they start crying that their nose is sore then they make themselves look ******. Great fight though.

Yeah that's so easy when someone's watching from the stands. It's exactly like being there everyone knows what it feels like. Right?

Did I ever say I'd fight to the death? Noooooooooooooo. Well then. Dont say you'll fight to the death when you wont. I'm not knocking him for pulling out cos if you're hurtin' real bad and you cant breathe then thats the smart thing to do. Just dont say you will fight to the death then quit.
