The entourage does piss me off in almost all of those videos. It's enough to make me want to see Kimbo laid out cold while his posse looks on, speechless. I doubt that video would surface however.
New KImbo fight.. He gets knocked down!!

Yeah. I'd probably agree with that to be honest. Kimbo himself (although a cheater and a bit of a disgrace to what is actually quite a noble profession by picking sub-par opponents) doesnt seem all that bad. Its the "Finish this...kill him Kimbo...get up and fight you *****" crowd who piss me off. Especially as you know that not one of them could fight themselves, which is why they flock around Kimbo and worship him as their hero.Comment

The rules to thos Kimbo "fights" are so unfair, he makes them up as he goes along. I mean, you aren't allowed to hit an opponent when he's down, but then you're allowed to throw someone into a load of crap sitting around in the garage and then start hitting him while he's off balance, not prepared to defend himself. I can't wait to see a video of Kimbo getting owned. I hope it's someone Jake Matlala sized.Comment

They are parasites, living off of a bigger and better man's moderate level of talent. The whole thing is a relatively well marketed business that takes advantage of the ease in which information is spread on the internet. All the power to them I guess, if they've found a way to make money.
The entourage still pisses me off and I'd love to see Kimbo get humbled for this reason alone. I'd also like to see Kimbo face off with street fighters of some reputation, maybe some overseas guys. I know they still have unlicensed fighting in europe. Maybe Kimbo could go challenge some of those seasoned guys, or have them fly here.
The whole unlicensed fighting has a seedy aura around it and I find it cool personally. Loved the movie Snatch and I like the idea of these streetfighters being local heros. But what Kimbo is doing is not even on that level, he's just beating up big, defenseless bodies.Comment

It's reasonably entertaining, but the entourage are a bit annoying as you say. If they're making money fighting these guys with no skill, that's pretty smart on their part. We live in a world with guys like Kimbo in it; not everyone can be Mary Poppins, but I don't begrudge that; If two consenting adults want to do this stuff, then fair enough.
It would be a lot more exciting if he fought better opponents though; guys that have some skills. I'm sure there's plenty of good fighters in the US without having to get people in from Europe, although Lenny McLean went to the US and beat one of the top guys.Comment

Going overseas is a time honored tradition though, going back to John L. Sullivan and the bare knuckled greats before him. America's best vs. britains best. There's something really cool about that, a small affair with maybe 100 people watching tops as the best streetfighters in two nations face off.
Not that Kimbo has distinguished himself as the best in America, I'm just saying.Comment

Kimbo Slice has an open challenge to any fighter in the world to fight under simple rules, Kid *******. Since the original Kimbo backyard video -- despite all the criticisim from wimpy white boys like you -- not a single person has ever come forward to say that Kimbo ducked him, and Kimbo's representives post consistently on a major MMA forum (that's how the Gannon fight came to fruition). In point of fact many fighters pro, semi-pro, and non-pro have openly challenged Kimbo only to back down later, and if you need proof I'll get it to you.
If you got the ****ing money, if you're willing to fight with only punches and elbows, and a 30 second knock down rule, and you're willing to go to Kimbo in Miami, then the fight is on. It's that ****ing simple. Kimbo doesn't challenge any of these bums, THEY CHALLENGE KIMBO. So this crap about Kimbo beating up on defenseless nobodies is utter crap, he beats up on people who step up and challenge him, and so far not a single guy outside of Sean Gannon "The Cannon" has stepped up to the plate and delivered.
And speaking of Gannon, he has evaded a rematch with Kimbo and is completely MIA on the MMA forums he used to post at. I guess the 2 weeks in the hospital wasn't worth the "win" he got over Kimbo.Comment
