The more I watch Darchinyan the more I think he can take Arce.

who cares man.............aren't we all fans that just wanna see a good fight?

thats what i am............i don't care who wins or how, just two top fighters fight.....

big credit to Vic for calling out everyone in his way...he has balls of steel......

the others to me are just ******* trying to avoid the fight / risk..

note to all: does it really matter to us who "would" win or "how"?? i'm happy just to see them fight other champs/top contenders.

I see a few people in this thread talking about Vic being unstoppable and what have you...

Eh, when was the last time you saw anyone hurt Arce? He was stopped by Carbs like 20 years ago...Carbs just happened to be one of the biggest punchers the lower weights has ever seen and Arce was dominating that fight previous to that.

Both of these ****ers have solid beards and both of them can punch. Arce has shortened up his punching since moving to fly and super fly...and he has stopped some very durable guys as a result. Alvarez was a smaller guy and was past his best but he still was no pushover. Hussein was a durable guy and Arce ate his lunch.

      Great ****ing prospective fight regardless.

he has never needed a plan B in 28 pro fights, and if he ever did, im sure he would come up with it.

When you see him PISSED and comin forward like a RAGING BULL after he has taken a clean shot, thats his plan B, to come forward mad and put his opponent to sleep.

and believe me, VIC will be doing the nose breaking for the next few years to come.

behind the CAPS, you are basically you are saying that he is only a puncher, and when he meets someone, who can take his, he has nothing except being "pissed" and coming forward like a "raging bull".

except that you say, that you are sure he can come up with a plan B, when he will need it.

can you explain why you are so sure?

yesterday's performance was dominating (and it better be given the opposition), but it was pretty clear that if he fought a slightly different fight, he would have blasted burgos out of there in the first half of the fight. so why didnt he do something. he was open for shots (which he did not have to worry about, but he still was knocked off balance twice, his timing was far from perfect, and he forgot the body for most of the fight.

he has the natural assets (power and chin), but it seems like he is not willing (or trained to) to use them with discipline.

and I dont even have to start making a list of examples of what happens when a puncher forgets he has to box in the ring.

the more i watch vic the more i think arce would work him over and probably stop him.

every guy that fights vic fights his fight, no one gets in his chest and starts working on the inside, that and he leaves himself way too open, his guard was down almost the whole fight and even though he can do that with the caliber of fighter he has been fighting, arce knows how to take any opening and is way too active.

darchinyan likes to come forward but when ever someone advances on him he jumps back trying to create distance, only thing is the guys he's been fighting let him get that distance, no one keeps coming forward and moves him back to the ropes and goes to work. i think with arces style of coming forward that he would be moving vic back all fight long.

i've never seen darchinyan fight on the inside, he never lets his hands go in there, he usually waits til the ref breaks up the clinch then he goes back into hunt mode, thats fine and all but a inside fighter such as arce would be outworking darchinyan in their fight.

darchinyan has massive power and could easily knockout anyone he fights, but as far as styles i think unless he gets a clean shot off on arce he's going to get outworked and probably stopped. i think that there are many holes in darchinyan's offsense and defense. for example the way he throws the left uppercut from way outside any world class fighter would be able to time that and catch him on the way in, that just one example.

            arce beats darchinyan..........................

Yeah a horrible technique that works, which makes him very dangerous.

He won't be running against Arce, I can assure you that. And when the smoke clears, we will see who'll be left standing. That's the beauty of that fight.

I still stick by my prediction. Arce by KO after giving Darchinyan a beating.

Darchinyan will end up the Mayorga of the lower weight divisions. He's slow and sloppy. Arce isn't great technically but he's better than Darchinyan.

Darchinyan's power is a little overrated by the people who say he has huge power. He's got good power but he isn't a one punch KO artist. Darchinyan basically beats his opponents down and stops them. Just like Arce.

This has the makings of an exciting shootout with Darchinyan getting him in the late rounds.
