While I fully appreciate the old school ****ers I would have to say that, with the way that the skills of the fighters have evolved, Langford would have his ass handed to him hard.................Rockin'

Sam Langford is too powerful and too strong for Jones. Langford by a 5th or th round ko.

I'd have to give Langford the edge. Roy could potentially run all night and get a decision; but Langford, with his sharp-shooting and power and Jones's average chin.......have to give the edge to Sam to win by later round stoppage.

Langford would have seen nothing close to the skill that Jones Jr possesses. Jones would box his ears off, if not stopping Langford.............Rockin'

Brother, you know I respect you; but I submit that Jones didn't have the "skills" to beat Langford as most of his success was built on his physical talents which allowed him the luxury to not refine his "skills" as tight as they could have been. This was evidenced when he got older and his reflexes slipped. The same thing happened to Ali, who didn't have to refine his skills becaue of his tremdous physical talents. This was really in evidence in the Jimmy Young fight, as Young was a well-schooled fighter. The primary difference between Ali and Jones in this regard was that Ali, when his skills faded, found he had a pretty good chin....Jones didn't.

...and that's why I feel the edge should go to Langford.
