wow, lookin at rid**** bowe, ray mercer, or james toney.

dont aim too high now, tommy.

some1 needs to tell him that mercer and bowe havent been contenders in almost a decade.

How you can say that after watching the second fight is absurd.

Peter was actually out counter punching Toney at times with straight shots, and showed that he does in fact have boxing skills. The work with the jab neutralized Toney's attack. And if you don't remember....Toney landed some SERIOUS shots on Peter. I used to talk smack about his punching power......but after visually seeing what they did to Peter I changed my mind.

He looked better in his last fight than he did in a while IMO. Outside of his inactivity he did a good job setting up shots.

I would love to see the Duke v Toney. I would love for Morrison to spank Toney. But i think Toney would beat Morrison. But i hope this comes off. That is if Toney hasnt retired yet. Whats Toney keep fighting for now anyway? He keeps getting his ass handed to him. And because noone knocks him out, he gets battered for 12 rounds each fight.

This would be a huge mismatch.Toney may be past his best but he has still been activley competing at the highest level for the last few years.I cant see Morrison going more than 6 rounds against any top 10 heavyweight at the moment.Tommy is a likable fighter who had good power and a ton of heart but his stamina and chin were never that good even in his prime. After such a long layoff i cant see him being able to compete at anywhere near this sort of level.
Im not sure that the Morrison of old would have the tools to deal with Toneys style of fighting.

            Umm, and Tommy has?

He's looking at guys who he might be able to be competitive with who have some kind of name recognition. He's out to make a few dollars in his comeback- he's not going after the title. I think looking at fighters of his generation is exactly what he should be doing at this stage.

yea,,,,he's being realistic. it would be a bit laughable if he started calling out a klitschko. still even an aging toney would be too much for morrison after being out 11 years. I just cant see him ever being able to go more than a few rounds anymore. he needs guys that he can catch and take out early

someone with hiv aint going to get any big fights anyway, he will continue to fight in states that dont require blood tests like where he just fought.
