CHRIS EUBANK on MAYWEATHER V DE LA HOYA !

via radio phone-in in dubai. he's in dubai on "business" (apparently helping promote 'destiny in the desert' boxing event)

    he says the following :

    - MAYWEATHER is the best fighter he's seen since THOMAS HEARNS

    - MAYWEATHER V DE LA HOYA might be one of the biggest fights outside of TYSON since BENN V EUBANK II

    - DE LA HOYA wont beat MAYWEATHER if he tries to swarm him

    - NOBODY will beat MAYWEATHER if they try to swarm him

    - DE LA HOYA has a "15% chance" of beating MAYWEATHER if he mixes up his jabs and uses "correct maneuvering, cute maneuvering"

    - MAYWEATHER will go from being an "exceptionally good fighter" to a "great fighter" if he loses a close decision to DE LA HOYA but wins a return match

    - MAYWEATHER will go from being an exceptionally good fighter to a "legend" if he loses decisively or gets taken out but wins a return match

    - he fully expects MAYWEATHER to win decisively

he said some other interesting things such as, he sees the middle east as potential megabucks that could overtake the US market and he's thinking of coming back for exhibition matches over there and also promoting fights over there. he sees eastern europe gaining a strangehold on boxing and UFC becoming more mainstream than boxing

His nostrils are ****ed and he can't pronounce his s's. **** him. Like **** will MMA overtake boxing, boxing is an art and has great tradition - and even if MMA did become on par with it, people will soon get bored of MMA whereas boxing will live forever because of it's tradition. I mean, a couple of white guys hugging eachother on the floor - yeah, real exciting man. I have to say though, boxing may Die if Eastern ****ing Europe takes over.

Naseem Hamed was huge in the Yemen, stamps came out in the Yemen in 1995 with his likeness on them! Eubank just exploited that (like 10 years back when he went over there) to try to make millions off of that, when if Naz went over there he'd of been much bigger (thousands and thousands of people in Yemen turned up just to see Naz spar, when he went over there in '95).

I still can't believe how sick it was to sell the Watson fight on his website - 'here, pay me some money to watch me put a man in a wheelchair, because I blew £15million on silk underwear'.

He did it with the concent of Watson, and they both shared the profit.
Plus its a great fight that shows Watson at his best and reminds people he wasnt just the boxer who Eubank ****ed up, but the ONLY fighter to ever almost destroy Eubank wen he was at his best.

He makes some interesting points. Different than what most people on this site say.
But PBF being the best fighter since Hearns??
          Jones, Lopez, Whitaker.

i think that mayweather will only lose when he drops his hands, and is to slow to cover up..

Yea but Castillo has had the most success with him.But he wasnt fast enough.
I think if Hatton's defence was better, his pressure and grappling style would give PBF trouble.

Only a boxer like Hearns with long fast hands could outbox PBF.

I dont agree. You have to be more skilled at swarming than Baldomir was though.
