eazy_mas I think you don't know to much about boxing...This is a business also a good promoters job is to give him fights that would make his money fighter grow if he is to young it make him grow little by little with out killing him. Remember Vargas he fought Tito and delahoya when he was to young and now he is a burn out young guy. Cotto always said in his Interviews that he would fight anyone but that he took care of business inside the ring and his team took care of the outside bussiness. I think Judah is a way better fighter and more dangerous than Margarito. If Cotto TKO or KO judah he would have all doors open to fight....Mosley, Baldomir, Kermit Cintron, Hoya, May jr, or the Winner of Margarito and Williams.. He will also become a Superstar just like Hoya and May.

I remember Eamonn Magee had this guy wobbled a few times. That was a close fight, Magee just fell off the pace.

but still once he comes in the ring he has a possiablity of an upset.

the guy got 3 Lossess and the other oppenet he won are not world class. his last oppent the he KOed never won his last four fights. but still i think overlooking someone could get ass handed.

Cotto is more concentrating on Zab Judah fight than Urkal. that is a disadvantage e****ally Zab is going to be on a ring side distraction so he is going to try too hard as same as Paulie fight to KO Urkal in round one to show to Zab.
He's not looking past Urkal at all. In his recent interviews, he's made that clear. His only focus is on Urkal and then if he gets by him, he'll talk about Zab. He takes each opponent 1 at a time. This is made clear by how he performs against everyone.
Also in another thing you said about Manny fighting Barrera or Marquez in their primes, they are long out of their primes incase you didn't know. Marquez just looks fresher since he hasn't fought in a war until he met Manny the first time.

yes but even at 140 he really never called anyone out part of boxing is to call someone that you really wanna beat.

boxing is a buisness and it makes more sense for arum not to loss Cotto and Margarito credibility as a fighter

Good post. My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately this is business first & it's all about $$$$. I think Arum does a great job in bringing up his fighters on a steady pace instead of throwing them to the wolves too early in their careers like other promoters have done in the past.

Urkal is a good fighter any1 who watched his fights with Harris and Tszyu know this but he cant beat Cotto, just cant imagine it happening at all! Good article tho! Easy Mas, Cotto dont call people out coz he is a class operater in AND out of the ring, he fights whoever put infront of him and to be fair i think he has been matched PERFECTLY!

but its time for Cotto to fight vetran champions and p4p guys most of his success depends on the contenders and prospect he won. Pinto and Abdulleval are out and now he have to see the sucess of Paulie and the comlobian dude to see how it goes.

yes it a business but if you keep protecting you fighters boxing goes down and people alway say Don King is ruining boxing but also Arum and Frank Warren ruin it.

Frank Warren make british fighter less credibial in the US.

No he doesnt if they foight 1000 cotto will win 999 of them You have to give him that one win becauseevery man with two hands has the ability to win a match. I dont think he will win though and I honestly kinda feel bad for him.

How many fights did Hatton have under his belt before he fought Tzyu ? 42 & look where he's ranked viewed all over the boxing world at this moment. Cotto does have to step it up a bit & I think he is this June in fighting Zab. Williams has more fights than Cotto and he's now making some noise. It's all about progress, self preservation & confidence. Once a fighter has all that then they should start stepping it up like Miguel is doing right now. He didn't have to fight Quintana at his first debut at 147 but he did & Quintana was viewed as a bad choice for Cotto because he's fought his whole career at 147.

                      Cotto's pace is on point!!!
