4 weeks notice??? And to think, Joan is the title holder? **** that.

      It's Arum's ploy again I'm sure.

        reading comprehension

he said theyd heard no such offer
but then says the reason they turned down the offer is becuz of insufficient time to train
Guzman's manager Jose Nunez issued the following statement. "I just wanted to set the record straight. Joan Guzman had no knowledge of an offer from Soto's people. An offer was made to me but they were giving Joan a four week notice and that is not hardly enough time to prepare for that caliber of a fighter.
Joan himself was not aware of the offer, his manager was, and he declined. There is no contradiction there.

exactly joan would never fight any fighter with 4 weeks notice..joan is bigtime now and arum better realize that.

This WOULD be one of the 5 best fights that could be made out there. Both guys are young, sharp, workhorses who are tough as ****. It'd be like a more skilled version of Margarito/Williams.

Joan Guzman is many times the fighter Paul Williams is.
