Holyfield Named in Major Steroid Scandal

Steroids dont just make you stronger. They help you recover and give you more energy. Which could be the difference between a guy putting in 5 hours in the gym 7 days a week and another guy putting in 3 hours in the gym 5 days a week for example.
Anyways, Im positive most of the elite boxers take a form of steroid. The amount of work it takes to train for a fight takes its toll on your body, and Im honestly not even bothered by it. The only thing that would bother me is if someone took it to gain muscle mass so they could move up in weight easier. Which is what Holyfield might have done.

Once you hit your 30's you basically start declining. Most athletes it seems suffer in the stamina department after 30+; I would say 35 is the last stage before you start to pray you don't have an "off night", but I may be wrong.
Boxing is different from a lot of sports. How many times have we seen even a young fighter (in his 20's) fight one incredibly tough fight, and never be the same?

he was obviously on roids when he fought tyson, he was much fuller and much stronger than he had ever been, also his neck was huge. he realized that he must bulk up there to take tyson's blows. that's why he was 25-1, if you notice in his fight against bowe in their 3rd matchup he had neither the strength or the size he had in the tyson fights.
