Why is this "HBO SPOILING RESULTS" Thing such a BIG deal????

Not EVERYONE tapes these fights and watches them later.

They are boxing fans that wanna know how the fights turned out before they catch the replay.

Thats how the majority of the viewers want it and thats why HBO does it.

I think its pretty selfish for people to NOT want HBO to annouce other fight results, when ur tied up watching their fights.

Its kinda like a treat. They are saying, since you chose our network tonight, we'll let you know the results during our broadcast so you dont have to check your computer every five minutes.

    I enjoy it

Becuase there are a lot of boxing fans who don't want it spoiled, myself included. If you have HBO, chances are you got internet. If you got internet, you can log your happy ass online and get the results there.

Die Hard fans like myself, want to watch all the fights, and like myself, I HAVE TO WAIT TILL 9PM pacific to watch the showtime fights, we don't have Showtime east or a live feed. The only live card is on HBO. So we watch HBO, at 6:45 till about 9 or when the fights are over, maybe miss a lil of the Darchinyan fight, but at least we can watch the fights with fresh eyes and not have the result spoiled.

Thus I have to watch HBO, and hope they don't spoil the results for when I flip to Showtime at 9pm.

I mean why is it that hard to believe?

You're telling me the majority of boxing fans want to hear the result of a fight before watching it? That doesnt make sense to me. It takes away from the drama of the fight. Imagine HBO saying, "Corrales KO's Castillo in the 10th to win" That ruins the drama of that epic round.

The beauty of boxing is the fact that no matter what, a fight can change with one punch. I dont want to know when its going to happen, I want to be suprised.

But you are completely ruining it for the minority if you say the results. If you don't you have to do is go online. Its not like you will never know if they don't say it, but it will spoil the fight for whoever actually does watch it. I'ts not just the number of people that want to, or don't want to know, its also what happens when to them.

                  well... america is lazy. lol

At LEAST we can agree that HBO is doing this with the thought that the viewers want to know.

To be honest, I get a little angry when people start critisizing HBO for doing this, when that makes no sense.

You ALREADY chose HBO. What would telling you the results do for their business??? Nothing, they are doing it because, based on some sort of evidence, that their viewers WANT to know
