How would you describe Mayweather's behavior?

Irrelevant
At this point in time, his behavior out of the ring shouldn't even be discussed unless the man is a threat to himself or society which I don't believe is playing a factor in the biggest event in either fighter's career.Serious question. I've watched the press conference with Oscar, and, wow, Floyd is special. He dosen't have any attention, he can't stay in place for more than 3 seconds, he answers questions in a manner that means "leave me alone". I've also watched that video with the rappers and the cute girls, he had a lot of inter-activity problem.
So, how would you describe him? The guy is clearly not normal.
-hyper activity?
-anti-social behavior?
-agoraphobia?
The sole focus should be on how great both guys should be come fight night so that all the paying customers will get their money's worth.
IMO there should be more drama with some humor thrown in for good measure, with the emphasis on humor, to make the build-up to this fight highly appealing to even the casual viewer. That should make it more enticing.
Maybe Muhammad Ali should be hired as a consultant to give these folks some pointers on making press conferences come alive. This over the top machismo is a little worn out don't you think?
Then again, who am I kidding. This aint a Rocky movie.

i think you are on point in that mayweather is basically a hard working guy trying to be a big time player. There you go!
Insecure, desperate (for attention), naive. Those describe how I see him.
Mayweather isn't clever enough or interesting enough to work the trash talker persona. You need to have more of a personality. Mayweather needs to show us he is a three dimensional person, make people really think he's an interesting guy aside from boxing.
Toney manages to do this, he has the whole "talented boxing genius with a horrible vice that holds him down" aspect to him and is pretty quick off the cuff with the insults (if only you'd understand them he'd be great). Mayweather doesn't have this material, or talent for slinging ****, to work with.
Mayweather needs to go for a humbler approach. He has some great qualities: he's a clean liiving guy with a tremendous work ethic and an honest fighter. He did not respond to Judah's foul tactics with dirty fighting of his own. He responded by boxing back with superior talent and class.
Mayweather should wisen up a little, see that imitating Roy Jones/Ali/whoever doesn't work for him and find his own original thing. He just comes across as an insincere poseur if you ask me.
He should just be himself which is an energetic, talented, and hard working athlete. No need to imitate; find out who you are and you'll find yourself becoming that person.
i am not sure it is because of insecurity as much as promotion (who gives a **** about a boxing "nerd" among the casual public?)Comment

i aint gonna say nothing about how he actin for the dlh fight since u can see he is tryings his hardest to promote it to bring more drama to the biggest fight of his life..but when outside the ring his behavior is questionable..his disrespectin of the other fighters is uncalled for...also think he is a bit delusional if he really thinks that his legacy will be greater than SSR if he retires after DLH..Comment

I think he's mostly uncomfortable in his "public skin". When you read what he says but then actually see him say it, it's not all that believable. Almost like he's trying to talk smack, but isn't any good at it, so he over compensates.Comment

he is weird, I saw one of his earlier fight awhile ago and inbetween rounds he had a real concerned look on his face and was askin his dad to go get a different pair of trunks from backstage. Floyd Sr kinda ignored it so he asked the other guy in the corner to go get them. The cornermen kinda looked at eachother and Floyd Sr asked why and FLoyd Jr said something like he couldnt move in them. So FLoyd Sr. said something like "just keep these" and shook his head. Then FLoyd Jr. smiled real big and said "AH, its okay daddy, Im good with these. Its ok" and was smiling. It looked real weird, almost like he does indeed have a mental problem.Comment

If you don't see anything wrong with Floyd's behaviour then you need to check your doctor too dumbass. Try removing Floyd's testicles from your mouth and maybe you're brain and your eyes is gonna function better.
Smart? He's actually digging his own grave.Comment
