    this is a misguided statement....

robinson is well known to have been one of the greatest charitable sports figures of his times.... he donated thousands if not millions of dollars to fight many different diseases and various causes...

he was not an arrogant ass as you put it, he may have been ****y but he was certainly friendly and approachable.... he was a central figure in the harlem community during his fight career... he walked the streets, spoke face to face to the common citizen and contributed greatly to a renaissance within his community

most of the bad things people say about him are a result of things he did after he left the ring...

robinson suffered from many debilitating diseases as a result of his prolonged career than cause him great pain and mental anguish, which he took out on others later in life... ie.... beating his girlfriends etc.... he suffered from alzheimers and diabetes amongst many others that often left him angry and violent without provocation... he was destitute and broken

he is also widely regarded as arrogant because he negotiated his own contracts at the time and was the first fighter to demand TV money from all his fights.... promotors hated him cause he wanted what he deserved and labeled him arrogant cause he wasnt willing to be taken advantage of... he also refused to give in the mob, which was very rare for a NY fighter of his day.... Lamotta certainly did.... and the mob labeled him as "arrogant" cause he wouldnt play along....

i think it also bears mentioning that robinson was loved and respected worldwide.... when he went to europe people flocked to the station in droves just to catch a glimpse of the champ... the french especially loved him chanting "le Sucre!!!" whenever he came around....

floyd will never garner that kind of true admiration from the common man, and robinson would not have done so himself had he acted in the manner that mayweather does now.

I think he might've said that reason being Baldomir beat Judah. If it wasn't for the money, Mayweather shoulda never fought Judah. Judah lost, and still got a chance to fight Mayweather... I think it was unfair.

Floyd is not known for having an especially strong record himself either. He has shown good strength in depth, but has no big surprising wins on his resume.

Now, I dont think either should be criticised for winning every fight they've had. But they both could be.

Surely its better to reserve judgement until after their next fights and see what happens. How dumb will you look if Hatton immediately signs a fight with Floyd next and then beats him? Why even put yourself in the position of that possibly coming back to haunt you?
in baseball terms floyds' only hit all solo shots, doesn't really mean anytime with you don't hit em with at least someone on base

But the point being, Brian and others talked **** on Floyd when he made the Baldomir fight too.

Mayweather and Judah are still friends, even if they acted like they weren't during the buildup. Mayweather said he was going to fight Judah, so he did. It also gave Judah (his friend) a payday.

I will have to go back and look for the inteviews some of his fellow fighters made about him, but moving on to Ali.

Ali made some bad comments about Frazier, NO?

Ali went around bragging about how he was "The Greatest", No?

So if Floyd wants to go around saying he is the best, let him. I haven't seen anybody beat him yet. He keeps moving up in weight and winning. He going to meet Oscar, and will be tested. If he wins, he doesn't have the right to brag a bit?

The only reason Ali got away with it was because he was funny, articulate and intelligent. He made people laugh, people warmed to him and loved him. I'd have no problem Maywhether doing it, if he did it well. But he isnt, he's making the casual fan hate him.

Wow, so calling somebody a "Gorilla" is funny to you?

Hey, how do I make the words "N*g**r", "Kyke", "Ch**k", F**got", etc. sound funny?

Joe Frazier didn't think it was funny. Frazier looked himself in the mirror and was like, "WTF, I am blacker than he is, that boy Ali has some White in him somewhere, while I am pure Black"

Notice a lot of "White" media people laughed. Yeah, very funny.

True. I guess it's because how he decided to fight Baldomir, I was a little dissapointed myself, but in reality, it's whatever a fighter chooses to do to win a fight. I like Mayweather alot, but I think it's pretty obvious, he's only going after the big name fighters out there, and they're all from another era De La Hoya. If he's p4p king right now, he should defend his crown against up and comin' cats for a little while, at least. He keeps talkin about he undefeated, and he knockin on fighters wit a loss on their record, but he never (to my knowledge) fought anybody who's undefeated and was good too.(Cotto, Hatton) Well, I really want him to fight Cotto after De La Hoya, but again, he do what he wants.

That's my Mayweather bash(if you wanna call it that, lol) for the day.

I never claimed that I laughed at his racial remarks, did I? In fact, I didnt go into detail at all. I know how to use my words, so please dont try and plant them for me.

Ali fought and ridiculed a lot more men than Frasier mate and most of the time, the whole world laughed along with him. I'm afraid that I wasnt around at the time, so I cant be held accountable for what everyone found funny.
