Which of these DLH/Gayleather possibilities is more likely?

    1. Floyd outboxes DLH defensively, but gets a Sweet Pea decision. It's not right, but plenty of people laugh.

    2. Oscar takes a "shot to the liver" and can't make the count. Immediately afterwards he reveals he's signed Floyd as his business partner.

LOL, just a brief moment of levity.

But there's also a serious point to be made... do you really consider neither to be possible?

Ive been saying #2 will happen for a while now. Floyd is heading to Golden Boy Promotions, I have no doubt about that. Oscar takes the canvas in order to sign him.

With the way Floyd has taken shots at Oscar and other GBP fighters (calling Mosley Oscar's puppet after his fight with Collazo), I doubt he signs with GBP. He's much more likely to get screwed by the judges. Afterall, one guy had Oscar winning in the Hopkins fight...

It'll be interesting to see how De La Hoya throws the fight though. My guess is that he barely does ****, maybe runs in the later rounds to ensure Floyd will get it, kinda like Trinidad. Only difference is De La Hoya didn't let Trinidad win.

There's no way in hell Oscar can hit the canvas in this fight, if he does we'll know for sure it's a fix. Floyd can't knock Oscar down, not with his pillow fists he can't. I'll laugh my ass off if Oscar lets him though, then after the fight he's saying "he hit my in my lee-ver!!!!!".

A part of you doesn't acknowledge the fact that that could possibly just be publicity to promote the fight? Floyd trash talks everybody he fights before he fights them, then shows them respect afterwards.

And I seriously doubt he really dislikes De La Hoya on any level. Considering the fact that it was De La Hoya and his promotions team that got Floyd the biggest fight of his career.
