"The Word" with Heavyweight David Tua

For Samoan slugger David Tua, it's time to look at every fight like it could be his last. Coming back from substantial inactivity in recent years, Tua is doing the best thing he can for his career: Staying active and staying focused. Three of the four current heavyweight titlists were former contenders that were completely dismissed as viable threats, so to rule out a Tua comeback would be completely premature considering the landscape. I just wish Tua could get back in shape! The type of shape he was in when he fought Ike Ibeabuchi... He'd be pretty ****in exciting if he could get down to that weight. About 225-230.

Nice article Topic; Tua's really a 'down-to-earth' guy and gives a good interview. Having said that, I think if Tua can stay busy and in shape(like he said) then there's no reason to believe that he can't get in there and beat some big names and earn a title shot. Plus, Tua's much more an exciting fighter than some of the contenders now who are getting title shots.(Barrett, Austin, Brock, etc...)

I gotta see Tua in there with at least a Guinn level opponent before I consider him an active heavyweight.
