Hatton said he would go up to 147 for Mayweather.

And when he went up in weight, he had 7 weeks to do so. And he made the weight by lifting weights and he said he felt slow and clumbsy at the weight.

Well if he's brought up properly, HATTON-MAYWEATHER would be the fight of this generation. An all out war. A classic matchup. A legendary Night.

No mattter what happens. If hatton knocks him out in round 1, or mayweather lopsided stops him in 6, itll be a classic night at the fights

This fight must happen, they do genuinely dislike each other. Hatton is a 'take em as i find em' sort of person, when he first met floyd he put his hand to shake it and floyd ignored him completely. Hatton would bash him up or get rich trying.

Hatton missed his chance for this fight twice. It's never going to happen. Mayweather is 14lbs, 2 weight classes away from Hatton now.

I cant see it ever happening but u never know! Id say Floyd spanks the living **** out of him to be honest BUT I could see why peeps would back Ricky, He closes the gap so fast its scary and he would ruff the Pretty Boy up on the inside! Its not inconceivable that The Hitman pulls it off but for me its Mayweather

Did no one else see Hatton against Collazo? I mean, sure Collazo is a slick southpaw but the name of the game was speed. Luis was just too quick, got good angles, used his footwork and larger size to aggravate Hatton. Sure, Mayweather is smaller but he'll make up for that because he's faster than Collazo and more technically sound. The only way this fight would ever happen is at Welterweight, in my eyes, because Mayweather would be the bigger draw and be able to make the stipulations. Hatton at 147 is not a pretty picture....and I actually see a fight closer to the Mayweather-Gatti fight than anything else. What about Ricky's latest performances says he can stop or hurt PBF to you guys??

i definetly think, if mayweather does NOT retire, that the HATTON-MAYWEATHER fight will happen.

Mayweather even said, and i semi-quote, "I'll be retired in America, that doesnt mean im retired in england"

                  something along those lines.

Hatton turned down the mayweather fight because he was to young, to immature, he would have gotten killed.

Now its a much closer fight, and assuming Hatton lives up to his promise of not ballooning up inbetween fights, and comes into the ring in GREAT shape against CASTILLO, not only will the castillo fight be a war, but if hatton wins then a HATTON-MAYWEATHER fight is virtually garunteed.

And it would be HUGE in America AND in ENGLAND, especially if we get a "passing of the torch" on may 5th, from one PPV lord to the next. Which is very possible in my book.

Mayweather would easily dispense of Hatton. Simply potshot him all night. The fight would be rather boring.

This would be Gatti/Mayweather all over.Atually a worse beating than Gatti, who was stronger than Hatton.

It probably will never happen for a few reasons...one Mayweather now sees himself in a mega-fight only bracket, and he does not respect Hatton enough to consider him a mega opponent.

And Hatton is probably too smart to get in the ring with a mega fight opponent, such as PBF or Mosley. He knows he can keep fighting the Durango's of the sport and make a nice living. As opposed to risking life and limb with the big boys.
