In the lights and on stage he had a moment's confusion. Also, Hagler's big fights were against guys who fought at 147, and Judah is almost too young to have watched them live.

Probably he doesn't really follow Hagler, but has that as a ready name when people ask about his favorite fighters. He needs to seem respectful about history even if he doesn;t really care.

also, he might not be good with things like that..when I first met Zab online a few years ago I wasnt sure it was himand I quizzed him on his own amateur career and there were thigns he couldnt asnwer so I thought it might no tbe him....I met him in New Orleans, though, at Jones-Harding and it was him.he was laughing, saying "Man, I couldnt even remember allthose names you were asking me about." Some guys dont pay attention to details like that, they just like the fighters and the way they fight etc

        lol.

But a lot of guys do things like that.

i remember lampley was recently asking MANNY STEWARD about a klitschko fight where klitschko suffered a cut, and steward immidiately thought of DAVARRLY WILLIAMSON. But lampley said, "no, no, i mean calvin brock."

ANd Steward was dumbfounded for like 5 seconds, until Lampley mentioned Madison Square Garden. And THEN Steward was like, "ooooooh oh..."

funny stuff. especially since brock was their last fight

I don't think that was Steward forgetting the Brock fight. I think Steward did not understand the fight to have gone the way Lampley tells it. Lampley insists Wlad was rushed by his cut, Steward probably doesn't see it that way (not having had to watch on HBO as you and I did).

                  isnt that kinda wierd though?

those are old fights, so u probably already know the outcome and remember some of the original call by the original announcers.

Like i remember watching GATTI-MAYWEATHER on ESPN, and tessitore said a few lines that Lampley said, but with his own twist. AND he already knew the outcome so the suprise effect seemed very canned.

Isnt that a little wierd to do for u?

Actually it is not too hard for me because my job is to analyze the action and I am able to look at both guys and tell u what I think they should BOTH be doing to try and win.
