Boxing, in its own and different form, has been around for many centuries. People love to watch combat sports. If boxing goes away, let it be for the wrong reasons, as in too much corruption in the sport. Fighters get paid good money to risk their lives out there, anyone who can't see that doesn't need to follow the sport. If boxing goes away, maybe MMA or some other sort of combat sport will take over, as it is right now, and its just as brutal as boxing. So in other words, no its shouldn't be banned.
Should boxing be banned?

First of all banning boxing sends it underground. A lot of the people fighting will be still fighting but without the opportunity to make real money from it. Proceeds will go straight into the hands of criminal gangsters (no, I'm not talking about Don King!) and the sport will be horrendous. Second thing is that if we banned a sport every time there was a fatality then we wouldn't have any sports left. Maybe chess...Comment

Boxing was banned in Iceland until 2004, then they allowed olympic boxing.
Professional boxing is still banned here.

I dont think they should ban boxing, but i think there should be a governing body that looks after boxers when they retire and help them with money and other things, perhaps take a small amount of there purse for each fight and put it into a pension scheme.Comment
