Should fighters be limited to 5 weights?

Currently their are about 300 weights for fighters to fight in
Personally i believe there should be less weights and therefore less champions. i believe there should only be these 6:
    Flyweight - 112lbs
    Lightweight -135lbs
    Welterweight -147lbs
    Middleweight -160lbs
    Light-Heavyweight -175lbs
    Heavyweight - (no limit)

possibly but with the size of guys today I don't think that anyone over 175 should be considered a heavyweight. Can you imagine someone like Tarver fighting Wlad?

No, the weights are fine as they are. We need less governing bodies.

what? Their are 17 weight classes in boxing. I like it the way it is. With your style thier would be too much of an advantage for some boxers.

I would love to go back go the original weight classes, with the inclusion of cruiserweight.

i think maybe they could cut the junior or super divsions but personally i like it the way it is now, just less sanctioning bodies(just WBC and WBA)

could you imagine don king with about 13243243 titles to play with? he'd be broke and we'd be without our regular fights..........

there should be less divisions though..

its fine as it is. at the moment, it doesn't matter what you're height and build is, you'll always have a weight division in which assuming you're in good shape you won't be disadvantaged in.

you've got a huge 23 lb gap between flyweight and lightweight which doesn't make sense. woudn't this be a huge disadvantage to guys who are naturally bantamweight to featherweight?

what about when it comes to weight ins. Is it right that guys often gain like 9 lbs after weighing in?

of course not and that is criminal..........as in fact its not a 160lb fight if they weigh more, so they mean that you have to kill yourself to make that the day before the fight, but its ok to be 10lbs more on the actual fight night!!..
