Actually he won't surpass any of them when I think about it. Hopkins is 42-years-old. Ten years from now, Wright will be the least likely fighter to be remembered among the four men.
hopkins lost to the 2 best natural 160 fighters he fought. I aint a b-hop hater though, i'll admit he's top 5 of all times at 160.

He fought Jones when both of them were green and he was 40 years old when he fought a jermain taylor in his early 20s. I don't want to run down a list of tough middleweight he went through during his time, but I must. He beat a who's who of former and future champs. Plenty of men that Hopkins fought moved up to higher weights like 168, 175, 190 and even heavyweight.

The only reason Wright taking this fight is because of the money. Hopkins has the wrong style and no amount of training or strategy is going to change that. Wright doesn't have the size nor the firepower of Jermain Taylor, so attacking Hopkins isn't going to get him anywhere. Hopkins is too fast and too agile to counterpunch. Wright's boxing skills are no better than Hopkins's, so that ain't an option. What the hell is Wright got to offer? Unless Hopkins gives away the fight, I don't see him losing.

All those were oversized, except for Tarver, who in my eyes is his biggest win, and Mercado, who proved Hopkins is vulnerableto fighters his own size, though Hopkins fought masterfully in the rematch, but still, it was proved that he was vulnerable....and glen Johnson was not tested, it was after this fight that he started being the road warrior...

Hopkins didnt have great opponents in his prime but he is big enough to compensate that now that he is a old and is the closest to his prime he could be....

Accept it Hopkins is a Light heavy at middle..

And Hopkins priced himself out of a Jones rematch for ten 10 years and now Jones shot, he wants to fight, that's why ive never really liked Hopkins as a person, just as a fighter
Wright will prove Hopkins is a little overrated, Winky UD
