I just don't think Roy wants to fight anymore. If he thought he was the fighter he was 10 years ago, he would have fought Bernard. Since he knows better, he's doing that Pros vs. Joe's show...In a recent interview with Bernard Fernandez of the Philly News, former undisputed middleweight champ Bernard Hopkins spoke about the reasons why fights with Oleg Maskaev and Roy Jones, Jr. fell apart, and his July 14 opponent, Winky Wright. I can't wait to see this fight.. I want to see it as bad as the PBF/DLH one.
I think Winky's D is more than what B-Hop thinks.. and overall it will win him the fight, along with Winky stickin the jab in all night long. Winky UDComment

I dnt cre if dis is a chess match im hyped up for this, ive always wanted 2 know who would win, this is a dream match up,i got Hopkins UDComment

Winky's D is phenomenal but now he's hes facing bigger and bigger opponents who can punch thru that guard and connect with hooks that might make him think relying on the guard isnt such a good idea. Ive never seen his face look like it did after the taylor fight. Plus with Hopkins youve got a guy who is one of the great tactical genius' of this era. this will be a great fight but I just can't see Wright being able to do much against Bernard ecept jab and B-hop knows how to neutralize the jab better than anyone.Comment

If b-hop loses this fight, its going to look bad for him. If winky wins, then he has surpassed the legacy of trinidad, de la hoya and b-hop.Comment

No he doesnt. Hopkins was undefeated from 1993 to 2005, only fighter told hold all four major titles at his weight, 20 defenses of the middleweight title, knocked out Trinidad (Wright didnt), knocked out De La Hoya (Wright probably wont).
Actually he won't surpass any of them when I think about it. Hopkins is 42-years-old. Ten years from now, Wright will be the least likely fighter to be remembered among the four men.Comment
