The United Kingdom would watch?? Nobody knows Hatton outside of Manchester and outside of die-hard boxing fans. And nobody has heard of Oscar in UK outside of die-hard boxing fans.

But Hatton could draw more ticket buys than PPV buys on Sky, and Oscar is a huge name in the US apparently!

leave this thread if you're just going to try turning it into a "let's bash hatton thread"

How am I bashing Hatton? I'm just talking the truth.

Hatton's my favourite fighter, along with Mayweather.

hmmm...............let's see, you mentioned hatton twice in your post and not once was it in reference to hatton's fight with castillo or possible match-ups at light welter and welter ( which is what the thread is about ) this year.

Instead you have brought up that old tired argument about floyd selling more tickets than hatton in a direct attempt to discredit hatton in any way you can and knowing full well that it could escalate into yet another hatton hate thread if all the idiots took note of your post and decided to run with it.

This is truly the year of the welterweight. It's THE most talent rich division in boxing IMO.

With this thread I just wanted to highlight the great fights that us real fans or hard core fans as were referred to will soon see. Irregardless of how much the fight will make or how many people will be in attendance. Irregardless of all else these are great matchups and the matchups are all in the first half! Imagine what could be possible for the second half of '07, truly a good time to be a fighth fan.

And you did that, i just didn't want an obvious alt coming in and ruining your thread.

On the topic of your thread:

Yes......... it's a hell of an exciting year at welter and light welter and the prospect of all those matchups is truly mouth watering. It's also a real make or break year for hatton and cotto imo.
