It's interesting that some say Corley is feather fisted/light hitting/etc...now we have this topic about Cotto not really facing punchers since. One must go ahead and say it wasn't Corley's power that hurt Cotto...rather the placement, unexpectedness and speed of the punch.

Cotto has taken on two softy punchers since then in Branco and Malignaggi, but I'd say that both Quintana and Torres (obviously) had the hardware to hurt Cotto again.

Quintana was no big puncher by any means, but he had a respectable KO percentage and he did stun Julio a time or two in his showcase. Can't really judge the guy past what you're presented. He's more of a fighter who wears you down and drowns you late...as opposed to blasting you out with one shot.

With Urkal he's facing another relatively light puncher...although a skilled puncher. Judah and MArgarito are anything but light punchers though.

Right after the Corley fight Cotto fought Abdullaev. Abdullaev was known to have very good power and a vicious straight short right hand.

Then he fought Ricardo Torres who is a huge puncher who had 26 KOs in 28 fight.

Then he fought Gianluca Branco just to fight him because they were going to fight before. This was more of a staying busy fight.

Then he fought Malignaggi to see how he did against a fast slick boxer.

He then moved up to 147 and fought Quintana who is known as slick southpaw with some pop.

Cotto fought two guys who couldnt punch hard after Corley. He fought two guys who were known as punchers and one guy who was slick and had some pop in his 147 debut. That sounds fine to me. What do you want him to fight vicious KO punchers every fight?

Actually, his first two fights after the Corley match were against two KO punchers.

Mohammed Abdullaev, whose knockouts over the owners of local delicatessans, was hardly qualified to give Cotto, who at the time was a serious contender, any real competition. Nonetheless, it's nice to see that you have a fixation with me as a human being. This is why I'm the hot topic, I stay on the tip of your tongue. No autographs, sorry

Abdullaev beat Cotto in the olympics and went on to win gold. Abdullaev had KOs over Phillip Holiday and Jesse Feliciano which were pretty good. His only loss was bull****. He was a veteran fighter despite having under 20 fights because he was an amateur for so long. He had 12 KOs in 15 fights. He had punching power. He was viewed as a real threat.

Why would I want your autograph? Your not famous and I hate you. Why the *** would I want your autograph. Your not on the tip of anybodys tongue. Nobody knows you outside of boxingscene and them few bum fighters you try hyping up. Dont flatter yourself Jin.

Before Corley, Cotto faced guys like Kelson Pinto and Randall Bailey, fighters with known punching power. Since then, he has been matched with Malignaggi, Quintana, Branco, guys who couldn't hurt him.

Are his handlers more weary of his weakness than is usual of a fighter on the rise?
Quintana 23-0 18 KOs, not to mention he stopped Cassianin the one who stopped your boy Collazo. Quintana has a bit of power and was a tough test as a first WW fight.

Oh, I have more than noticed this.

The only thing that annoys me is the hype in spite of that fact..

Some of the talk is utterly ridiculous.

A guy with 15 fights against guys who weren't real versus a dude with more skills and against better opposition. I always saw that fight as a mismatch. I'm sorry you couldn't see that. I guess I see things you can't.

I'm internationally known on the microphone. No autographs, PLEASE! So, you hate teenagers you meet online? You need to step away from the computer home slice. And bum fighters? I don't think they'd appreciate that. You might hurt your feelings homeboy lol

The fightm was interesting because Abdullaev was an olympic gold medalist who beat Cotto in the olmpics. Abdullaev should have been undefetaed but that ****** bull**** KO against Clottey int he last round in a fight he was easily winning by shutout. Cotto vs an undefeated gold medalist with a good KO ratio who beat him in the amateurs was an interesting fight to me. Abdullaev was a threat,a nd the fight wasnt a mismatch who you were wrong. Its not like Cotto blew him out of the water and KO him in one round. Far from a "mismatch" as you said.

your internationally known as a ***in f@gget who thinks hes somebody because he goes to free press conferences and talks to fighters.

I dont care if they appreciate it. If they are friends with you then I dont really care what they think.

Actually it kind of does make you less human. You guys do have smaller ***s than your average human.

You call me an e-thug but you dont know me at all. And its not like im saying im going to go shoot you or anything. Just because your insecure about yourself doesnt me you have to bring up the e-thug thing and try to make me look ******.

I do hope one day we meet so i could bich smack you though. Im the real deal not you. I actually box. Your just some pusy wanabee writer who thinks he knows everything just by watching boxing and learning big words because hes too bich to actually box.
