I have not been impressed with Hatton since he fought Kostya Tszyu. That fight was ridiculously good, trading the entire fight till Tszyu quit. I mean that's a hard fight to top.

Since then every Hatton fight I have seen has been a terrible experience to be forgotten. He looked great early in his last fight, but down the stretch it was all holding when he knew the fight was in the bag.

It's been a hugfest lately for Hatton and it's just dissapointing.

A fighter can have trouble with all these ¨solid¨ fighters you speak of, come against the champ and wipe him out in a few rounds. So this whole theory is wrong and also needs to end.
ok lets not go exagerating either..

      it was closer than that...

        are u nuts????

The guy could be fighting at 135 if he wanted to. Hes shorter then almost everyone he fights. THe guy is tiny.

He was to SMALL for 147, and is Maybe even a bit small for 140...
Mosley got knocked down twice in that round against Forrest. And that uppercut has to be one of the most ridiculous punches in history. I put that up there with some really great single knockdown punches.

I don't know if anything will ever top the leaping Floyd Patterson punch though. That has to be the most beautiful punch I have ever seen.

Two completely different styles of fighters in Hatton and Mosley and their respective fights with Collazo showed that, but there were similarities.

Hatton was just rushing in with no respect for Collazo, something Shane did to Collazo at times....but Hatton really doesn't have the reflexes Shane does.

He has good footwork and can sidestep and outwork guys, but he's nowhere near as agile when it comes to slipping, catching and countering punches. I also think Hatton would put up a way better fight than Collazo did....LMFAO. That's for damn sure...because Collazo went stretches of rounds where he barely landed punches in double figures. Hatton would land at least twice as many punches on Mosley as Collazo even threw.

Either way I'd pick Shane because I think he's a better fighter than Hatton.

As right as you are, thats not how the public looks at it, Mosley blasting out Collazo like it did makes Hatton's castillo fight that much more critical for the US market. Styles do make fights, but at the end of the day people only look at that highlight on WINS and LOSSES. If Castillo beats Hatton in June, Hattons career here is in jepordy.

i remember how skinny they looked down at 135 and 130, they looked like starvin marvin... when you're young, u can go down in weight like that but both dlh and mosley had to move up after a while when their bodies couldn't take it anymore

Why does Hatton deserve credit for beating a guy stepping up a division who looked like **** in his last fight? Castillo is not as good at 140 just like Hatton sucks at 147...

I know what the bottom line is.

If you get hit that automatically makes you garbage. That's why everyone is being so critical of Hatton.

forget that he punches hard and works hard himself.

Tonight had nothing to do with Hatton having problems with a very good southpaw and everything to do with how great a fighter Sugar still is.

the saaaaaaaaad truth is, if HATTON beats CASTILLO is a war, THERE will STILL be excuses going around.

And if u think CASTILLO was in shape for his last fight, u r insane. He was flabby, u couldnt see any signs of a sixpack, and there almost no muscle definition at all.

Against Hatton, He will come in muscular.
